3. Service Description
Intan offers advisory services for small business owners in Malaysia. Our three offerings are:
- Tidy Bench Review (RM 600) — A single advisory session with a written summary. Suited to owners who would like a clearer view of their business as it currently stands.
- Set the Tools Advisory (RM 1,300) — Two advisory sessions, a written plan, and one follow-up review. Suited to owners ready to bring more order to how their business runs.
- Whole Workshop Programme (RM 1,990/month) — An ongoing monthly advisory relationship with a shared plan and between-session support. Suited to owners who value steady advisory support over time.
Services are provided primarily to clients located in Malaysia. We may consider remote engagements for clients outside Malaysia at our discretion.
4. Engaging Our Services
An engagement begins when you submit an enquiry through the Website and Intan confirms the arrangement in writing (by email or letter). A service is not considered confirmed until you receive written confirmation from us.
We will do our best to respond to all enquiries within two business days. Scheduling of sessions will be agreed upon mutually and documented in the engagement confirmation.
We reserve the right to decline any engagement at our discretion, without obligation to provide a reason.
5. User Responsibilities
To allow us to be of genuine help, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, complete, and current information about your business when asked.
- Attend scheduled sessions at the agreed time, or provide at least 48 hours' notice if you need to reschedule.
- Engage with written deliverables and plans in good faith.
- Ensure that information you share does not infringe the rights of third parties.
- Use our Website only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with these Terms.
You agree not to:
- Use the Website in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Website or its underlying systems.
- Reproduce, resell, or redistribute any written deliverables provided by Intan without our written consent.
- Misrepresent your identity or business situation in any material way.
6. Payment Terms
All fees are stated in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) and are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless otherwise noted.
- Tidy Bench Review & Set the Tools Advisory: Payment is due in full prior to the first session, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
- Whole Workshop Programme: Monthly fees are due at the beginning of each monthly cycle. Continued access to between-session support is subject to payment being current.
We accept payment by bank transfer and such other methods as may be communicated to you upon engagement confirmation.
Rescheduling and cancellations: If you need to cancel a confirmed session, please let us know with at least 48 hours' notice. Late cancellations (less than 48 hours) may be treated as a session used. If Intan needs to reschedule, we will offer alternative times at no additional charge.
Refunds: For one-off services (Tidy Bench Review, Set the Tools Advisory), fees paid are non-refundable once a session has taken place. For the Whole Workshop Programme, you may end the arrangement by giving 30 days' written notice; fees for the current month are non-refundable.
7. Advisory Service Terms
Our advisory services are tailored to the individual circumstances of each client. Written deliverables (summaries, plans) are produced with care and based on the information you share with us.
- Session content is shaped by what you bring to it. The quality and relevance of advice depends in part on the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide.
- Written summaries and plans are completed and delivered within 10 business days of the relevant session, unless otherwise agreed.
- Follow-up reviews under the Set the Tools Advisory are to be taken within 60 days of the second session.
- Between-session support under the Whole Workshop Programme is available during normal business hours (Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm; Saturday, 10am–2pm) and is subject to reasonable use.
Intan does not act as a legal, tax, financial planning, or accounting adviser. Where your situation calls for such specialist advice, we will say so, and we encourage you to seek it from an appropriately qualified professional.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Website — including text, layout, design, and graphics — is the property of Intan and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws in Malaysia.
Written deliverables produced for you as part of a service engagement are prepared for your personal business use. You may use them freely within your own business. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit them without our written permission.
You retain ownership of any information, business data, or materials you share with us. By sharing them, you grant Intan a limited right to use that information for the purpose of delivering the agreed service.
9. Confidentiality
We take the confidentiality of client information seriously. Information you share with us during advisory sessions and in written communications will be held in confidence and will not be disclosed to third parties, except:
- Where you have given your consent.
- Where we are required to do so by Malaysian law or a valid court order.
- Where necessary to deliver the service (e.g., using secure third-party scheduling or email tools).
We ask that you also treat any advice, frameworks, or materials we share as confidential, and not share them with parties outside your business without our consent.
10. Disclaimers
Our Website and its content are provided in good faith but without warranty of any kind. We do not make representations about the accuracy or completeness of information on the Website.
Advisory sessions and written deliverables reflect our professional observations and suggestions based on what you share with us. They are offered in a spirit of care and helpfulness. Business outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, and we make no representations about what results you may or may not achieve by following any suggestion we offer.
Intan is not a law firm, accounting practice, or licensed financial adviser. Nothing in our services constitutes legal, tax, financial planning, or regulated investment advice.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Malaysian law, Intan's liability to you in connection with any service or use of the Website is limited to the total fees paid by you for the specific service to which the liability relates.
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses, including but not limited to loss of business, loss of profit, loss of data, or reputational damage, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such loss.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, or for any other matter that cannot be lawfully excluded.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Intan, its principals, and team members from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal costs) arising out of:
- Your breach of these Terms.
- Information you provide to us that is inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading.
- Your use of the Website or our services in a way that causes harm to a third party.
13. Termination
You may end a Whole Workshop Programme engagement by giving 30 days' written notice to [email protected]. One-off services (Tidy Bench Review, Set the Tools Advisory) conclude naturally at the end of the agreed scope.
Intan reserves the right to end any engagement with reasonable notice if we believe we are no longer well-placed to assist, or if there has been a material breach of these Terms by the client. In such circumstances, we will refund fees for any session not yet taken.
Sections relating to confidentiality, intellectual property, liability, and dispute resolution survive any termination of the agreement.
14. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
Before resorting to formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us directly so that we may seek a calm and constructive resolution. Please write to us at [email protected] and we will do our best to address your concern within 14 business days.
15. General Provisions
- Entire agreement: These Terms, together with any engagement confirmation, form the complete agreement between you and Intan regarding the subject matter herein.
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of our right to do so in future.
- Assignment: You may not assign your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. Intan may assign its rights to a successor entity with reasonable notice to you.
- Notices: Formal notices under these Terms should be sent by email to [email protected] or by post to the address below.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will place a notice on the Website homepage. Your continued use of the Website or services after any revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
We encourage you to review this page periodically. If you have any questions about a change, please contact us.
